Committee member/examiner for the defense of Geoffrey Engel’s PhD dissertation: "Intensive Magnitudes in the Metaphysics of Deleuze". Advisor: Michael Baur (Fordham University). Other members on the committee: Daryl Tress (Fordham Univer- sity), Jude Jones (Fordham University), and Ed Casey (Stony Brook University). Focusing on Difference and Repetition, Engel investigates both the origin of the term intensity through Deleuze's historical critique of being and theory of time, and the role that intensive magnitudes play in his theory of metaphysical individuation.
